Fringe Central!

1714 S. Racine (18th and Racine)
If you are looking for the center of the Chicago Fringe universe, Fringe Central is where it’s at. A beautiful outdoor courtyard, Fringe Central is the place to relax and network between performances. Sponsored by Old Style and Honky Tonk BBQ, Fringe Central will feature music and exhibits accompanied by rib-sticking food.

Fringe Central is open from 4-10:30 pm on September 1-3, and 1-10:30 pm on September 4-5.

Fringe After Party

After 10 pm each night, the party moves to Honky Tonk BBQ, located at 1800 S. Racine. Live music will be featured each night, including a rockabilly band from New Orleans and Fulton County Line from Austin, TX. Chicago’s own thriving music scene will join in with sets from local acts ElvisBride, The Kickback, and Biographer.

Fringe Preview!

On August 28th, at 8pm, Fringe hosts a Preview Party, featuring short previews of several Fringe shows. Free! Fringe Central, 1714 S. Racine (18th and Racine).

    What is 2amt? It's thinking outside the black box. This panel will discuss 2amtheatre.com, which grew from the #2amt hashtag on Twitter. Topics include collaboration and cooperation, alternative marketing strategies, audience development, new play development and more. Moderated by Time Out Chicago’s Kris Vire, and including 2amt heavyweights David Loehr, Eric Ziegenhagen, and Nick Keenan.

  • How to be a Performing Artist and not Burn out by 30

    September 5th, 10:30 am - 12pm, Edinburgh Stage, 2003 S. Halsted

    FREE! Light brunch provided.

    A collection of short presentations and conversations with Fringe Artists and guests regarding how to avoid stress or harmful decisions, moments to ease up, and tricks for getting by. Modeled on the skill-shares springing up in cities across the US. Curated by Tamara Silverleaf.
